Our leadershipto improve people’s quality of life

Our story is one of humble beginnings and it’s one-of-a-kind. Angels is more than a company, it’s a vocation. It’s our life’s calling to improve quality of life for those who are disadvantaged mentally, physically or monetarily. Our founders have their own family members living at Angels communities at this moment, and that right there speaks volumes.

robert bennett, mba

Founder/COO/President of Assisted Living

For more than 25 years, Robert has played an integral role in the healthcare continuum as an executive. In prior years, he served our country and is a veteran of the US Army. After his tour of duty ended in 1994, he continued to positively impact lives through his work with his pivotal decision to pursue a career in Assisted Living.

Uniquely, Robert has deep family roots in the Assisted Living industry and as a result, has a wealth of knowledge in this arena. In the 1970s, Robert’s parents founded several group care homes (currently known as assisted living facilities - ALFs) in Kentucky. When his family relocated to the Southeast, they started group care homes in Florida and realized the need for more regulation in the industry. As pioneers, they wrote the first curriculum for the core certification test given to Assisted Living Facility (ALF) Administrators in the state of Florida.

For more than 15 years, Robert owned and successfully operated Shady Palms ALF in North Tampa. His goal for expansion was realized when he teamed up with James Eyer. They shared a common vision to offer a post-acute healthcare network that best serves the needs of the elderly population. In 2010, they co-founded what we know today as Angels Senior Living.

Robert is an industry leader entrenched in advocacy for the elderly population. Robert remains passionate about offering services and products that fill the needs of today’s seniors. He serves as the President of the Assisted Living division of Angels Senior Living and leads operations spanning a growing number of communities in the Southeast. You can often spot him in the hallways of our Angels communities getting to know residents and interacting with staff.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Alabama.
