How can we help you?
Sometimes an assisted living community isn’t the best solution for your recovery. You may feel more comfortable or recover more easily at home, or simply not need a total assisted living experience. Angels Senior Living offers private duty nursing, also known as in-home care, to seniors and others in need. Private duty nursing or at home care is generally self-pay or paid by a long-term care insurance plan. With an in-home care plan, home health aides (HHAs) or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) can help you complete every day activities like housekeeping, daily living, and medication reminders.
We know that it’s critical for families to understand the options available during such an emotional journey. We’re here to help you navigate this experience and to be your partner with any questions along the way.

Private duty often takes place at a private home, but could also occur in an assisted living facility, nursing center, or hospital depending on your health and needs. There’s no limit to the number of hours for which you can receive at-home care. At-home care can range from a weekly brief visit to 24-hour care and everything in between. This may be needed when family and friends have life circumstances, work obligations, or are out-of-state and cannot readily meet the demands required for their mom, dad, or loved one.

A private duty or at-home option is typically self-pay. An at-home health aide or CNA normally gets paid a straightforward hourly rate based on your personalized plan. In Angels Senior Living’s Private Duty Division, there are no binding contracts or complicated cancellation policies and you pay as long as you need health care at home, whether it’s short-term or long-term. You can also pay by credit card or automatic bank draft for your convenience.
Long-Term Care Insurance will help pay for private duty but the hours covered will differ from policy to policy. Veteran Affairs (VA) benefits may also apply. Contact our Angels Senior Living team today to verify your policy coverage.
We offer fair and affordable rates in comparison to home health agencies and other organizations that offer private duty services. If you are a resident in our facilities, we offer discounted services for private duty care or for your rehabilitation and therapy needs. Home care generally costs less than other options like assisted living, adult day care, or skilled nursing facilities, according to 2018 Cost of Care Survey by Genworth. At-home care may be an option you’re interested in pursuing if you’re recovering from a specific injury or surgery, or only require a couple hours of assistance each day or week.
Private duty can help a wide variety of people, ranging from individuals simply recovering from a knee replacement placement surgery to seniors who may need help with some daily activities and companionship.
No matter the motivation for seeking at-home care or private duty nursing, we’re happy to work within your expectations. You may only have a temporary illness, not plan on entering an assisted living facility and have the ability to stay at home with just a little help, or you may already be in an assisted living facility and want extra attention to effectively manage your recovery.
No matter your circumstances, at-home care could be an effective tool to help you recover from a temporary illness, cope with a long-term illness or disability, or simply get some help now and then.
You might think it’s better in the short term to hire someone independently. It’s important to know the risks associated as doing a proper interview and background screening takes time along with financial resources. Not only does a licensed agency do all of this for you and act as their employer on your behalf, we also have insurance to cover every employee so you don’t need to add this to your responsibility, not to mention your budget.
Angels Senior Living’s Private Duty Division provides liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage on each of our Home Health Aides.
Each employee has been carefully screened prior to employment:
- All employees are Home Health Aides (HHAs) with the required training & certification.
- Each Home Health Aide is required to complete and pass an ACHA (Agency for Health Care Administration) Level II background screening which includes a fingerprinting screen.
- CPR certification is required.
- All of our Home Health Aides are reliable and dependable, so no added stress!
